Lydia has maintained an interest in art from an early age. She grew up drawing, painting, and creating things whenever and wherever she could and continued that practice by majoring in studio art at Roberts Wesleyan University. After graduating, she accepted a job teaching elementary art for four years at Lima Christian School before transitioning to teaching the art program at Northstar Christian Academy.
During her time at NCA Lydia was accepted into the Florence Academy of Art’s Masters program in Studio Art where she graduated with the inaugural class. When not in the classroom, Lydia practices as an oil painter, enjoying spending time in nature, traveling, and spending time with family. One Bible verse that she draws inspiration from is Psalm 19:1 (KJV), “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth his handywork.”
